Panti Rapih Hospital Manages Inorganic Waste with Rapel

As one of the largest and oldest hospitals in the city of Yogyakarta, Panti Rapih Hospital (RSPR) has around 1800 staff and employees and with various activities within the hospital that produce quite a large amount of waste, such as food boxes, plastic packaging, plastic cups. , paper, cardboard are inorganic waste that is produced every day.

In order to improve efforts to manage inorganic waste, on June 18 2021, a collaboration was signed between Panti Rapih Hospital and Rapel Indonesia. In her remarks, the Director of Health Services and Infrastructure for Panti Rapih Hospital, Mrs. Ir. Valentina Dwi Yuli Siswiati, M.Kes expressed her trust in Rapel friends in managing inorganic waste properly and correctly. Therefore, with this collaboration, a number of inorganic waste that cannot be managed, such as food boxes and plastic packaging, will be handled and recycled.

Rapel will routinely conduct education regarding the sorting and collection of inorganic waste from RSPR. On this occasion Rapel also handed over sorting facilities to RSPR in the form of 5 large drums and scales.

The series of events signing and handing over the sorting facilities from Rapel was continued with socialization regarding the sorting of inorganic waste to staff and employees via Zoom and YouTube media. This event presented 2 speakers, namely: Y. Wara Andriyati, A.Md (Head of the RSPR Waste Management LLHK Section) and Marta Yenni AKS, SP (Business Development and Client Relations) representing Rapel Indonesia.

This collaboration is a concrete manifestation of RSPR's involvement in solving waste problems in the city of Yogyakarta. It is hoped that more and more institutions and companies will be involved in efforts to preserve the environment through waste segregation. So that in the future Student Cities can really manage, utilize, and recycle inorganic waste properly. (THW)
