Where is the inorganic waste from the Faculty of Dentistry UGM?

That afternoon, in the context of proclaiming a clean campus and picking up trash, the Faculty of Dentistry, Gajah Mada University (FKG UGM) collaborated with Rapel Indonesia. Ova Emilia, M.Med., Ed, Sp.OG (K), Ph.D.

In his remarks, drg. Suryono, Ph.D said that this collaboration was carried out to initiate a Clean Campus Movement and to cultivate the habit of disposing and sorting waste among academics. Wherever we walk we will find a trash can. Put it in the trash according to its characteristics," he said. According to the Dean, the cultural movement to pick up trash for cleanliness of the campus is a form of FKG's support for the Health Promoting University (HPU) program launched by the university.

On the same occasion, UGM Chancellor, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med., Ed, Sp.OG (K), Ph.D. welcomes the implementation of this cooperation. According to him, the movement to keep the environment clean from garbage aims to keep the campus environment green and beautiful, of course with the support of all campus residents. Furthermore, he said that what is being developed is very important, not only to keep the environment clean but to accustom us all to treating waste carefully and cleverly.

Representative of Rapel Indonesia, Yudho Indarjo, expressed his appreciation to FKG for starting this movement. Yudho further said that Rapel itself stands for "People Care for the Environment" and is an application of inorganic waste management.

Simultaneously, Rapel Indonesia also handed over 4 trash cans for 4 different categories of waste and at the same time started picking up trash to then manage it at the sorting facility owned by Rapel before recycling it. (THW)
